A Ghanaian Member of Parliament has issued a warning to his colleagues to learn from the massive protests in Kenya and not pass anti-people laws.

He spoke during plenary on July 2 following reports that youths in Kenya, particularly the Gen Zs stormed parliament and attacked lawmakers during anti-tax protests that have engulfed the nation.

According to local media, at least 39 people were killed with 361 injured in the protests which started as as a way to challenge the Finance Bill, and that have occurred throughout the week.

Speaking to his colleagues on Tuesday, a Ghanaian lawmaker mentioned how their counterparts in the East African nation were beaten terribly by the masses.

He warned that the legislators in Ghana should be worried and ensure they do not legislate bad laws that will lead to a similar scenario.
