Ex-Super Eagles Star Mikel Obi Debunked Rumoured Beef With 2face Idibia (pics)

John Mikel Obi, the former Super Eagles captain has finally taken time out to address the reported rift between him and 2face Idibia.

Back in 2006, it was alleged that Mikel, during his time at Chelsea, had snubbed 2face at a London nightclub. 

The story shook the sports and entertainment world at the time with no clarity ever provided in the years following the reported incident.

In 2010, 2face released a song titled ‘Only Me’ reportedly a response to the incident but this was never confirmed by the legendary singer himself, who insisted the song was directed at no one.

Mikel, who had never spoken of the incident till now, clarified the situation when a curious fan asked him about it on Instagram.

The ex-Chelsea midfielder emphasized his respect and admiration for 2Baba.

Instagram user identified as xfranky22 asked about the old viral reports, saying: “Did you truly snub 2face at a club in London back in 2006?” 

Mikel immediately debunked the rumour, saying: “No, I never did. I am a big fan of his. So I wouldn’t do such a thing. Have a lovely day.”
