The 2024 UEFA Champions League final features two diametrically different teams.
One owns the most trophies in the history of the European club competition and cruised to its domestic league title.
The other finished fifth in its domestic competition and has won just one Champions League title.
Real Madrid enters the final against Borussia Dortmund as a heavy favorite. Winning the UEFA Champions League is part of Real Madrid’s DNA; it owns a record 14 titles in the competition, with seven of those titles coming since 2000.
Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, is making just its third UEFA Champions League final appearance. And while Real Madrid was cruising to its 36th La Liga title during the 2023-24 season, Borussia Dortmund finished a disappointing fifth in the German Bundesliga.
