“Barrack Obama Deliberately Interfered In 2015 General Election”, Goodluck Jonathan (pics & video)

Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan has spoken on the role the American Government played during the election that took him out of power.

While calling out US former President, Barack Obama, Jonathan said he (Obama) interferred in the election that saw him lose to his successor, Muhammadu Buhari.

Jonathan recounted how Obama even issued a statement directing Nigerians to vote for the next chapter. He also slammed Obama for sending the US secretary of state to meet Buhari on the eve of the election.

In his words: “The level of Interference by Obama’s government was very overwhelming. It’s not as if I couldn’t have won the election even with that, but if, by my own thinking and the way people looked at it, Obama’s government went outside the normal deplomatic relationship.

“Sending the US secretary of state to Nigeria on the eve of the election after Obama even issued a statement directing Nigerians to vote for the next chapter tells you something and we should not sweep this thing under the carpet.

“If any foreign country, be it America or any other country interferes with our own elections, it should be mentioned.”

Jonathan also said the kidnap of the “Chibok girls” was politicised and was used against his government.

“Immediately the Chibok [schoolgirls] issue came up, within a couple of days, we saw people going to the US with Bring Back Our Girls placards and Obama’s wife received one of those placards,” Jonathan said.
