AFCON 2024: “I Am So Overwhelmed”, Ademola Lookman’s Father Reacts To His Son’s Success (pics & video)
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the Semi-Final clash of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast after defeating Angola 1 -0 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium on Friday.
Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman found the net in the 41st minute to take his goal tally to three, following an assist from Moses Simon.
The 26-year-old English-born forward gave the three-time champions the lead in their quarter-final clash against Angola just before half-time.
The Super Eagles winger has now netted three goals in the knockout stages, with two in the Round of 16 against Cameroon.
Fortunately, Lookman’s father was at the stand watching his son doing Nigeria proud. Lookman’s father was interviewed after the game and said: ‘I’m happy, I’m overwhelmed, I am so happy. I’m pleased for Nigeria winning this game.’
