Nigerian singer and entertainer, Okafor Victor popularly known as Mr Real, has described Poco Lee’s arrest in the United Kingdom over rape allegations as a “serious attack”, claiming that the dancer is facing what he referred to in Yoruba as “ìṣẹ́ ayé”. Mr Real made the remarks in a video while addressing Poco Lee’s mother, urging her to take the situation seriously and seek what he described as spiritual intervention for her son. Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Odinaka, is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK, including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. The charges remain allegations, and he has not been convicted. “This message is for Poco Lee’s mother. Whoever is in contact with Poco Lee’s mother should give her this message. “Your son, Poco Lee, is under serious attack. When I say serious attack, it’s under serious attack. What is happening to this boy is not ordinary. “This work, what would they call it? We call it, in Yoruba, ìṣẹ́ ayé. I don’t know what it’s called in English.” Mr Real said he believed Poco Lee’s mother should have noticed signs that something was wrong with her son and criticised what he described as her failure to act. “And I believe her mum, Poco Lee’s mum, saw this thing coming for her son. There must be a sign, because you are the mother. There must be a sign that tells you that there’s something about to happen to your son. “But you no just put body.” He said the dancer’s mother should not remain passive, particularly because of her son’s status as a public figure. “Your son get this kind glory, this kind height of being a star, and you are relaxed…They no dey relax for this kind people? She was too relaxed. Poco Lee’s mum was too relaxed. “She saw this thing coming, but she no put body.” Mr Real further urged the family to intensify its efforts, saying he believed prayer alone was not enough in the circumstances he described. “This is not even the time to pray. I am not saying there is nothing prayer cannot do. But you see, in this one, eh, now fire for fire,” he said. He also claimed that the woman involved in the case would eventually withdraw or contradict the allegations against Poco Lee before the court proceedings. “There is a way you go about this thing. Trust me, eh, before the court case or the day of the court case, this girl that’s involved with this Poco Lee’s thing will come out and confess and tell the world that Poco Lee did nothing as such to her,” he said. Mr Real went on to advise Poco Lee’s mother to seek assistance from religious figures whom he described as pastors who also engage in spiritual practices. “As I said, eh, keep Bible aside for now. “Eh, there are pastors that they are into spiritual things. Like when I say pastors, what they do spiritually, like they be pastor, they be man of God, but they still dey into the other one. “Now, those kind people you need right now. Those kind people you need right now, because you can’t be alive. You know, if you die, like this thing not supposed to happen to this boy, you.” He attributed Poco Lee’s current situation to what he described as negligence and warned that the dancer needed protection. “Na negligence, they cause all this kind thing, you know. It’s not supposed to happen to this boy. “And the funniest thing is that this thing now, from this family, from the same family he’s coming from.” Mr Real also spoke about the challenges that can accompany fame, claiming that some friends and family members may become envious of successful people. “Let me tell you something. Nobody likes you when you’re a star. Forget this thing with him. See, your friend won’t like you. Your friends don’t like you. “Forget all this with your friends don’t like you. Your family members don’t like you. To the extent, your brother, your sisters don’t like you. “The only person that really likes you is that your mum, your dad. Take it or leave it. “The only person that really loves you, eh, genuinely, na your mama and your papa.” He added, “Others, they will say, ‘Why it’s not him? Why must it be him? What about me?’ That’s how they act, that’s how they be. “As I said, eh, leave Bible now. Give them fire for fire. Don’t let this your son go. The charges were confirmed by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, which also disclosed that a reporting restriction was in place to protect the anonymity of the complainant. Poco Lee is due to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for plea and trial preparation. Poco Lee was in the UK in August for the Davido and Friends event held at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14. Reports of his detention emerged several days after the event. His management and legal team have urged the public to exercise restraint in discussing the case, stressing that the allegations against him have not been proven. Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and the charges against him remain allegations to be determined by the court.
