Earlier this week the media was buzzed with the news of Esther who schooled in India and graduated to become the youngest barrister in Nigeria at the age of 20.

However, the barrister has spoken out to correct the initial mistake made by those who gave the news assuming her age to be 20. According to the barrister they probably did it out of cheer excitement.

She further went ahead to give her own narrative and a breakdown of how it all went down. According to her she left secondary school at 15 and not at the age of 13 as initially reported. She also said she applied for law at the Abia State University (ABSU) but was given political science instead which she studied in the university for a year before moving overseas to study law. On returning, she enrolled into the Nigerian legal school for her part one program which is compulsory for any foreign law student. She was unable to finish it last year due to covid-19.

She emerged successful however and was also among the successful students of the bar final exams at 24. She ended by saying she is 24 and not 20 as presumed, even though she appears quite younger than her age
