Originally from Uganda, Kamala was born James Harris on May 28, 1950 in Senatobia, Mississippi, USA. He gained fame in the world of professional wrestling where he was known by the ring name Kamala. Kamala filed a lawsuit against WWE, where he claimed that wrestlers suffered severe brain injuries during their professional careers with the company, and accusing them of concealing the injury risks associated with the profession. But the lawsuit was dismissed as there wasn’t sufficient proof.

Kamala also talked of how WWE treated him poorly, saying that a wrestler like the Undertaker earned $500,000 working for the company, while he earned a mere $13,000. In his present condition, he sells homemade wooden chairs and also relies on disability support for a living. He recently wrote an autobiography.
