“I Was Paid To Fake Disability During Church Miracle”, Nollywood Actor Yemi Solade

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that he once accepted money to pretend to have a physical disability during a staged healing service at a church.

Solade made the disclosure in an interview with Feel Right  News TV, where he recalled participating in the alleged fake miracle while he was still a student and had yet to establish himself in Nollywood.

The actor said he was paid to act as a cripple during the service and later spent the money on alcohol.

“I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student,” he said.

Solade’s revelation offers an account of how he was allegedly recruited to participate in a staged healing service before he became a popular actor.

Solade explained that he was approached to take part in the act but declined to mention those involved.

“The people involved are still alive; I just don’t want to mention names.”

The veteran said the experience was part of his early struggles before he became well-known in Yoruba and English films.
