Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has come a long way. Many people dont know he was once a Bricklayer.

How did he go from being a Bricklayer to becoming a Governor? The story goes that Nwifuru became a loyal aid to an up and coming businessman and aspiring politician called Dave Umahi

Dave Umahi would go on to become deputy Governor and Governor, and took Nwifuru along. Nwifuru became Dave Umahi’s annointed political son and handed over to him when his tenure ended

Nwifuru is now Governor of Ebonyi State while Dave Umahi is Minister of works.
