2027: Tinubu’s Team To Share Branded Plantain Chips (video)
A video has surfaced online of President Bola Tinubu branded “plantain chips” allegedly being prepared as part of a grassroots campaign strategy for the 2027 general elections.
The snacks are packed in plastic rubber containers boldly inscribed with “Jagaban 2027 Door 2 Door Movement,” suggesting an early door-to-door mobilisation plan.
The video has attracted widespread attention and stirred debate among Nigerians, many of whom question the seriousness of launching such tactics this far ahead of the polls.
The man featured in the clip insists he is not campaigning but was only given a contract.
He makes it clear that his involvement has nothing to do with political loyalty and everything to do with money.
“Na contract they give me, I’m not campaigning for anybody. So na contract, now na money they go pay me,” he says.
“Imagine, they don’t begin the campaign for 2027. It’s the money I’m interested in,” he added.
