Watch The Moment Kogi Governor Elect Usman Ododo Kneels Down To Thank Gov Yahaya (video)

The governor-elect of Kogi state, Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress has been seen in a viral video on his knees in appreciation to the governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello.

The moment was captured soon after he was presented with the certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.

Prior to the APC primaries in the state, Ododo, who is the Auditor-General of the state, was relatively unknown and was not given any chance at winning the poll despite being the preferred candidate of the outgoing governor of the state, Yahaya Bello. Both Ododo and Bello hail from the same Kogi Central and Ebira ethnic group.

Ododo had won the hard-fought election after beating his closest rival, Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) with 446,237 votes. The SDP candidate scored 259,052 votes.
