We Never Arrested Or Detained Mohbad, NDLEA Releases Names Of Those Arrested (see the list)

The spokesperson of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has said the agency never arrested nor detained late singer, Mohbad.

It was widely reported in February 2022 that the anti-drug agency raided the Idado estate home of artistes signed under Marlian label and arrested six persons including Zinolesky and Mohbad. The agency at the time said Cannabis sativa and Molly were recovered from the apartment and a car. Read here.

Earlier today, the agency was accused of poisoning Mohbad during the alleged ‘arrest’ after a video of him on a hospital bed saying he was accused of abusing drugs and forced to drink a substance in a bottle surfaced online. Some Nigerians alleged the deceased singer might have been poisoned during the ‘’arrest” by NDLEA operatives

However in a post shared on his X handle on Saturday night, September 16, Babafemi said Mohbad was never arrested. He shared a newslink where a source in the agency reeled out names of persons that were arrested and Mohbad’s name was not included.

‘’This is authentic account of the arrest and detention of some Malian artistes in Feb 2022, an incident that has now been twisted by purveyors of fake news to say Mohbad was poisoned in ⁦@ndlea_nigeria custody even when he was never arrested or detained by the agency. I hope they’ll be bold enough to defend their claims when the hand of the law catches them”Babafemi posted

A source in the agency was quoted to have listed the names of all six suspects arrested at the time and none of which was Mohbad, who was born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji.The source gave the names of the suspects arrested at the time as;

’Oniyide Azeez (Zinoleesky)
