President of South Sudan Salva Kiir surprised his delegation, government officials and powerful military personnel in an undated video that is circulating online where he is captured peeing or casually urinating on himself as he stood to the National Anthem.

In the video shared by Jerome Ogola, a self proclaim freelance writer and social media influencer, Salva Kiir Mayardit, also known as Salva Kiir the South Sudanese politician who has been the President of South Sudan since its independence on 9 July 2011 was recorded involuntarily wetting his pants in the National Event. He seemed to be surprised too.

In the rather bizarre incident which also got his guards off guard, several social media users allegedly revealed that the head of state seemed to be having issues with his bladder and should try and seek medical attention as soon as possible and also leave power.

Prior to independence, he was President of the Government of Southern Sudan, as well as First Vice President of Sudan, from 2005 to 2011. In 2009, he was awarded an honorary degree from a Kenyan university. He was presented a certificate by the Vice Chancellor of the ‘Great Lakes University of Kisumu’.
