June 12 Protest: “My Mum Has Been Calling Me Since Morning, I Won’t Pick Up Until After The Protests”, Deji Adeyanju

Popular Nigerian activist and convener of Concerned Nigerians, a pro-democracy and good governance group, has revealed that he has been ignoring calls from his mother and will not pick up until after tomorrow’s planned protests.

The former Head of New Media for the Peoples Democratic Party made this open via his social media handle, saying that there is no going back on the planned protests. He further revealed that the reason why the group are protesting is based on Insecurity, unending kidnapping of citizens, attacking of protesters and disrespect for human rights, and reverse on the Twitter ban.

The June 12 protests have been tagged “Buhari Must Go”. Comrade Deji Adeyanju has earlier revealed via an interview on AIT that there is no intention by protesters to topple the government of President Muhammadu Buhari. This was made clear after the President himself earlier said during the Thursday interview on Arise TV that the October 2020 “EndSARS” protest was a move to topple his administration.
